From 2011 to 2022, themed concerts with Virelai, a youth choir, and the adult Orfeó Veus Juntes, each one a different world: Queen, Brazilian music, singer-songwriters, the 60s, Mecano, and finally a musical with its own story. Some of them were staged more than once, in other venues and years.
I took up the guitar to sound like Brian May. I never did, but I got to play Queen at the Palau de la Música, and along the way I learnt that writing the band’s parts and running the sound check come down to the same job: making sure the singers are heard.
